    Swapped out rifles today

8-9 years ago, I bought a Ruger American Rimfire in 22 LR. It was threaded, so of course I had to get a can to put on it. Specter II. After a few mods, trigger work, and and paint, it ultimately became my sparrow dispatcher when the Purple Martins are here. So, for the last 4 years it has been stashed the bathroom door for quick access. The scope I have on the Ruger is a Bushell 4x16x40, I think. It has an OB which goes down to about 10 yards, which works pretty well cause the Martin house is about 30 feet from the bathroom window.
Fast forward 2 Ago. I picked up a Tikka T1X, and mounted an Athlon Ares BTR4.5x27x50. It shoots really well, but normally resides in the safe. We’ve had Martins here for about 2-3 weeks now and while outside doing chores, I decided to pick up the Ruger to make sure it’s still zeroed (at 30’). lol. then I remembered the Tikka! Pulled it out of the safe and put my recently purchased KGM Rimfire can On it. Took it to my bench, and zeroed it at 30’. It will do. Understandibly, the Athlon is a touch overkill, and the Sideknob OA only goes down to 25 yards, which ends up being a little fuzzy at 30’.

What is an OA? Adjustable objective?

Yes. The Bushnell has the adjustment on the large end of the scope tube. The Athlon has a third knob on the left side of the tube.

I got you. I had never heard it called OA. I had always heard the term AO for adjustable objective. I didn’t realize some scope manufacturers had changed the term.
