Very true but I don’t know if a shoulder area shot would be a good idea with this bullet. I have shot them with the 100 grain Spitzer SP’s and deer just flopped. I have had these bullets for a few years.
I have reloaded them before but I haven’t shot any with this bullet. My old neighbor did on one deer and hit it in its neck. Let’s say the deer didn’t go anywhere. He hit in spine area so you can imagine the damage.
I’ve got my 25-06 loaded up with 115 Nosler ballistic tips and I have seen what it does to the neck of a deer. Added velocity of the Bee and yeah…. It might get a little messy, but the deer won’t go anywhere.
I wouldn’t take a shoulder shot at less than 100yds with that load though. Probably would do fine, but I personally would stick with neck or behind the shoulder shots at closer ranges. The Nosler BT isn’t the most sturdy constructed bullet out there.
