Which production rifle for $1500.00 and under

Looking for a new rifle in 6.5 prc. Which one would you get and why? Thanks in advance

Bergara. Quality and accurate. The specific model would be dependent on your use.

Under $1500, I’d go Bergara or Tikka, but you’re not far off from a Seekins Havak PH2 if you can swing a bit more change or if you can find one lightly used.

I would have to agree. I’m a fan of heavy barrels so I wonder if Tikka is making the Super Varmint in 6.5 PRC yet. If so, that one would be really hard to beat.

A Quick gunbroker search shows that Tikka is making the 6.5 PRC in the Super Varmint. I’m a Savage fan for sure but that Tikka would get my vote for sure. And they’re $1485ish.

I have the begara in PRC and it’s a shooter recoil isnt bad at all. If I was buying again I’d prob get a tikka based on how my 7mag shoots. Both great options

Any insight on the Sako s20 precision? Looks like I can pick it up for $999. Regular price 1599.00

Only in reviews I’ve seen online. Like most Sakos, they seem to be pretty impressive. I’d definitely jump on that deal.

That Sako S20 looks like a good rifle and deal. I would certainly consider that for its price. I have a Sako M995 and that rifle is extremely accurate. I also own a Bergara and it too is a great rifle. Both rifles are quality and accurate; I think with either of those two you should be in good hands.

I would also look at the Ruger American Gen 2. It looks like they will chamber it in 6.5 PRC soon. I have an original Ruger American and it shoots lights out. That one is about half your budget but I wouldn't overlook it.

Bergara or Browning Hells Canyon would be my choice.

I actually have a BHC in 6.5 PRC and that thing is ridiculous, easily under MOA at 100 yards with 143 grain ELD-X, and that was with myself and another forum member firing the 3 rounds combined so two different shooters hitting the same spot.

Bergara & Tikka - Both have very smooth actions, accurate and manage recoil well.

Can vouch for a Tikka as well. Mine handles very comfortably and the bolt cycle is so smooth.
I just want to shoot it all day.
