I've had multiple 16.5" 6.5's that I ran suppressed. The best, handiest and minimal recoil little guns!!!!

I’ve been using a .22 Creedmoor. I was a 7mm08 fan and still am but mine hasn’t been on a hunt yet this year because I’m having great success with my new toy.
Do you mind posting a pic of where you are talking on bullet placement? What bullet are you liking on your 22 Creedmoor? I hardly pick up a rifle for deer but plan to cull a few with my 22 Creedmoor or 6mm Creedmoor. I haven’t owned either very long so I’m still trying to figure out the optimum bullets for l deer.

Check this link. Right in the scapula which will also take out the spine. I usually neck shoot but it’s not for everybody.

Deer anatomy is important before and after the shot; knowing where to shoot a deer, best shot placement, and understanding the blood trail...

You already have a .308. No good reason to get a 7-08 or a Creed for your stated purposes.

I've always found your posts to be spot on and informative Mr. Mike but I couldn't disagree more on this one. Indeed the 308 will suffice just fine but since when does a guy need a good reason to buy a new rifle?

Sounds like it's Ford vs Chevy OP. Pick your poison and enjoy your new rifle. Both are great rounds that will accomplish your goals.

Well of course if he just wants a new rifle then he should get one.

And I say he should get a 7-08 mainly because it’s not a Creedmoor.
