    sub sonic 243

anyone load subsonic 243 rounds or know where to buy them?

No help, but I’ve never heard of subs in a 243. Doesn’t seem very feasible being an overbore cartridge.

but my knowledge is very limited.

Ya I've never seen them before either. I getting a suppressor for my rifles and I've seen videos with guys shooting subsonic rounds with the suppressor. It's super quite, and if it is possible I'd like to get some. But, again like you said, not sure if it's possible

If you're getting a 30 cal suppressor and absolutely dead set on subsonic ammo, go the 308 route. A quick google returns several places with ammo "on the shelf."

Not trying to talk you out of it.... While supers are not movie silent, it still makes a huge difference while hunting. I've shot a buck from the middle of a group of does that dropped in his tracks. The does looked around a sec and went back to eating. Wasn't silent but didn't ring their alarm.

my experience with subs is this…regardless of caliber…don’t shoot deer at more than 75yrds. It’s not fun to watch a deer die a slow death

With most of the bullet sizes for .243 being in the 75gr range, you are talking about essentially turning your .243 in a standard velocity .22lr. It will sound fun but not pack much punch.

.308 or 300blk get to run 220gr bullets so you are equivalent to a .45 acp pistol.

have you picked out a suppressor yet? If not the YHM resonator R2 is a heck of a starter option and extremely affordable. Turned my .308 so I can comfortably shoot without ear protection and .300blk subs just make me laugh.
