    Cantilevered scope mount ?

I’m looking at getting a scope for the 10/22. One im looking at has low, medium, or higher rings, or, a 20 MOA cantilevered scope mount. Any suggestions on plain rings vs the cantilevered mount?

You don’t need a cantilever for a 10/22. Cantilever mounts are made for ARs or similar style rifles where the rail does not go far enough forward to get proper eye relief. Traditional rifles do not need them, and they are generally way too high to get any sort of a cheek weld since they are made for ARs.

‘that’s good info. Never really had one of those mounts before. I can see that they would def sit higher on the gun, possibly causing cheek weld issues.
      ‘thanks,
