I am really thinking about purchasing a .300 Blackout but I wanted to get some feedback. Can you suppress a 16" blackout and shoot both supers and subs? Not sure I want to go the SBR route at this time. Thanks for the info, I'm sure I have kicked a hornet's nest!

In my opinion, lots of better calibers out there for that application.
This coming from someone that just had to have one as well. Thought it would be the ultimate night hunting outfit with night defeating optics and everything.
I soon realized it was more novelty than practical.
That being said, I do have an SBR in .300 for personal defense and stand behind that tool for the application.

Same as above for me except I tried to talk myself out of getting one and succeeded. I kept looking at the numbers and they just didn't make since to me. I wanted a " truck " gun that I didn't have to worry about scratches and such so I purchased a Ruger Predator 308 that is 18" and threaded and it has worked out quite well. Sound has that sonic crack in an open field with the suppressor, but get it into some thick brush and it sounds like a 22 to me.

Two things I found on the BO. First, it ain't all that powerful. Subs are fun, and a novelty as far as being quiet. But it ain't all that powerful, and subs even less so. And you haven't been scared until you see someone who just loaded a 300 bo round in a mag and runs it through a 5.56. Not worth the risk to me.
