    Q "The Fix"

I held one of the coolest rifles I think I've ever seen before. It was made by Q which is a brand I had never heard of. It was the model refered to as "The Fix." Does anyone have this rifle and if so how do you like it? I've never spent $3,000 on a rifle before but I'm considering it. That sucker was awesome. It was really light. Surprisingly light. The one I held was chambered in .308, really sweet gun.

I guess my question is, is it worth the money? It's slick lookin no doubt. But if it's not up to par with its accuracy I for sure don't need it. I really don't need it anyway but I ain't never let "need" get in my way.

I've never heard of it and no nothing of the company. They also don't state who makes the barrel or does the machine work, both critical components.

It looks similar to the Sig Cross which can be had for about 1/3 less.

Personally, if I wanted a light weight bolt action folder which is a great idea, I'd want one on a Model 700 or 700 clone action vs a proprietary action design.

Great company and great products! "Magic ain't cheap". Sig knocked off the fix but did it cheaply and look what happened with the recall. They are out of my price range but eventually down the road I'll have some q guns to go with my Q suppressors.

It's definitely a high dollar piece. I just know me and I want it now so I'll want it later. I'd just hate to wait on it then have it costs more later on down the road. The way bolt guns have gone up in price these past few years I don't for see them going down in price any time soon. The AR's have sure come down in price but I don't think the bolt actions will. That was just my thought process on the whole deal.

I hate that **** rifle. Had a buddy lend me one for a few months as he didn’t want it either. I wanted it while holding it and handling it. That thought immediately went away after shooting it. It shot well, but hell I think they figured out a way to increase the recoil. My shoulder was BLACK after about 25 rounds of factory 140 ELDM in a 6.5 Creedmoor. I knew it was unpleasant with the first shot, but I had to see what it could do. This was shooting suppressed. He didn’t like the rifle for the same reason, and ended up selling it off. Had another buddy given one by a very well off buddy. He gave it back after it sat in his safe for over a year as he felt the same way about it. Lots of reports of this same thing on most forums. As strictly a hunting rifle it would be ok, but I like to stretch my rifles out and get comfortable behind them. This isn’t one of the rifles I’d do that with. It’s not any fun to put a quantity of rounds down range with, and could lead to poor form.

Every example I’ve seen though has been accurate.

I read the title and thought this was going to be about hijacking an election

I think you’ll be a lot happier building a nice custom bolt gun for about the same price.

I wondered about that seeing how it was so light. In a varmint cartridge like a .223,.204 Ruger or 22-250 it probably wouldn't be so harsh shooting it. I can see how it'd have some stout recoil. I think the one I looked at weighed 6.4 pounds or something like that.

That's true. And probably for about a thousand dollars less even would get me a pretty dang good one I'd bet.

I love a light rifle, and have shot my fair share of them. I’ve built a few as well. I’ve never shot a 6.5 lb rifle that recoiled even remotely as harsh as the Fix. Take a look at the butt pad on them. It’s about as thin as they come, and he’d plastic with sharper edges. The combination of the 3 make for an unpleasant experience.

I’d take a look at that Horizon 22 Creed that M16 posted. That’s a dang good looking varmint stick, and I’d be willing to put money on it being very pleasant to handle.

Its a good rifle, there is a reason why it looks so much like a sig cross, Q development might of been done while the owner worked for Sig. One can figure out pretty quick how you leave sig and bring a rifle to market so quick.

the sig cross is less money and as accurate or better and now has pre-fit barrels.

my daughter shots the sig. its 6.4 lbs bare and chambered in 6.5 CM and she is 10.

Q and sig are a flip of the coin. I do wish the sig had a different trigger option outside of two-stage. the two stage works great, but I have to remind my daughter of the difference in other rifles that she shoots.
