Factory ammo disposal

Hey guys,
I've got some old factory ammo (centerfire) that I do not want and/or have a rifle chambered for them. What is the correct (safe) protocol to dispose it?

Why don't you offer to give it to someone? Pulling the bullet, dumping the powder, and depriming would be a safe way to disassemble though.

Guys, I've tried to give it away (Classifieds) and no one has said "I'll take it". I'm moving soon and just want it gone.

Why don't you try it again, with some pictures. I also bet if you put an ad on craigslist for free sporting goods you will find a taker, especially if you have any other items that you want to get rid of before the move.

If you have a local gun range see if they'll take it. I did that with a bunch of old mixed up ammo.
