Just watched 22nplinksters video with some broad claims now I’m debating getting one. Would you get keltec or buy the new M&p 22 mag pistol? Anyone have one yet?

My Keltec PMR30 has been flawless once I found that it doesn’t like 30 grain rounds. Some .22 caliber firearms are jam-o-matics, or are VERY picky as to what ammo works in them and what doesn’t. My PMR30 has been the second most reliable .22 caliber firearm I’ve owned. I see no reason to replace it.

I like m&p’s just fine and it looks so much better then the keltec. I’m going to see a bit more reviews on the M&p before I decide on it. 22plinkster had tremendous luck with his I guess, I watched a few other reviews and some fte kinda like the dud keltec I had a few years back. That’s always kinda luck I carry. You either get a good one or not. I do have the m&p 5.7 and I imagine it’s the same grip it uses as well. We’ll see what happens.

I can attest that it is never a good idea to buy a new Keltec model. They tend to have issues when they are first released. Give them a couple of years though and they tend to work the bugs out. I’ve owned an SU-16, PF9, and the PMR30. They were all good, but I did not buy any of them when they first came out.
Here lately though, this seems to be the case with more and more manufacturers. Even Sig had a lot of problems with the P365 when it was first released.

Well I picked this unit up today at the azle gunshow for $575. Put 150 rounds through it and had 1 ftf on the second mag and second or third round. Shot the 30gr plated hollow points with nickel cases through it. It is lights out accurate just as the reviews said. I don’t have a red dot on it yet but was shooting 4” plates consistently at 10 yards. I did have some possibly “powder speckling” or something kick back at my face a couple times. It’s a dang loud unit too. Great trigger, grip is a little long but I already knew that just like the 5.7’s. Super pleased with it with the first 150 through it. If it does that consistently I’ll be a happy camper.

I’m still on the fence.

They didn’t, but had a 5.7 that is the same frame, grip, and size according to the expert behind the counterI don’t like the grip as well as a normal M&P, but I can see why they had to change it to get the length and the 30 round capacity of the mag. Thanks for the report. Have yet to hold one in hand, but the more I read and watch videos of them, the more I’m thinking maybe one day I’ll get rid of my Kel-Tec.
Ok, that’ll never happen, but may add one of these.
