Well I just ran it with some C Products, Colt mags, and it still has the feed problems.

Load your mag full then remove one round, then try it.

Oh, and Noveske's are for fanboys!

i've always loaded all my AR mags minus two:

        30 get 28
        20 get 18
        10 get 8

oh lookie, its the jealous haters

its obviously operator error, that type of malfunction is never weapon based

do what artos says, minus two not minus one.

I've tried all combinations and no luck with the downloaded mags.

Could I have some burrs on the rails that could be making the BCG hang up at times?

What about a gas rod failure? I mean that it is not lining up right or not seating correctly.

hey man.. just wondering .. you never store them with rounds in them ? if you did and didn't use the cap.. they may have swell. if the mags are the issue at all

can you take a pic of the jam ?

could be many things ...short stroke? misaligned gas key, or gas block, pinched gas tube , or not aligned properly ...
another thing to look at if your gas key is not staked is if the bolts that hold it on are tight loose bolt could cause short stroke.. till the front one breaks .. then it's no go at all

Are you inserting the mag in with the bolt locked to the rear?
If not try that and see if it works. I have seen that on the colt M4's. If you insert the mag with the bolt forward it hangs or miss feeds the first round. For some reason the FN M4's didn't have the problem in my experience.

The magazine is the weak link in the AR design and even with the best mag available is responsible for 99% of your issues.

Is it only on the first round only?

Try loading one round in your mag, fire, and see if it locks the bolt open. Then report back.

Got it fixed, was running the wrong bolt in the gun. I grabbed the wrong parts off the bench.

I know I could of just kept this too myself and not mentioned.

see Bily was right, it was operator error.

After a long wait, and finally saving up enough money, I finally got to join the "Black Gun Club"

Not a high end rifle, but I think she will get the job done just fine.

Not the best picture, but it was late and I did not feel like setting up to do a photo shoot.
