Really hard to say, the Ruger is one of the new weapons on the market with a totally revised piston system involved..mostpiston systems have the same probelm with carrier tilt and upper wear...

While I was in Georgia at the USMS academy Ruger sent us one for testing. The test was to put 1000 rounds through it without cleaning and then strip it down and see what it looked like. I put 1000 rounds through it in about three days and then took it apart.

The gun ran perfect and never had any type of failure. At the 50 yard line I shot sub one inch groups with it with open sights.

I took it apart and was very surprised at how clean it was. I hate cleaning dirty ARs but this thing could have gone several thousand more rounds without cleaning.

Other than it running cleaner than your standard AR it functioned, fired and had the very same recoil of any other AR on the market.

I don't know what they sell for normally but I can get one for about $1400. To me that is just too much money for an AR when you can pick pick up a Bushmaster Modular Carbine for about $1100.

But, it is a nice weapon and you certainly can't go wrong with it if it is what you are wanting.

It's sweet I've shot them both and I like them both. Hard to find right now for a decent price.

I have shot about 100 rounds thru it and I love it. It is heavy mine weighs about 7.5 pounds. After I shoot the bolt does not even look like the gun has been fired.
