I got nuthin' with an oven. You can use the grill. Won't be bad if it's a multi burner grill. Indirect heat, and wood chips.

Sounds like u cooking a giant steak! Maybe inject with a little liquid smoke... Put in a roaster oven at 225...rub down with dry rub first...put a little olive oil and water in pan . this is what I would do. Hour a pound still..

Wife does it occasionally, she marinates it in Claudes (sp?) . Definitely different style but still really good.

Get a pan and put some wood soaked chips in it and put it in your grill. Let it smoke and put your brisket on so you can get some smoke flavor. Pull it and cook the rest of the time in your oven.

It'll cook just fine in the oven, though you wont get the nice smoke flavor out of it. I'd definitely add a water pan like navy suggested.

If you want bark, pull it out of the oven when done, heat it up to 500, and put it back in for 10-20 minutes (you have to watch it).

you need a roaster with a lid, with a rack in the bottom
the one in my pick came with my oven
but you can find them at WallyWorld, etc

pour a beer in for the liquid below the rack

I start mine indirect on my OldSmokey for at least 4 hours with hickory
then i put it in my electric roaster to finish

(this is a leg of lamb - 1-sided indirect) how i do a brisket too

My wife cooks brisket in the oven once in in a while. She seasons it and puts it in a oven bag. Then puts a can of rotel tomatoes in it ties the bag and puts it in the oven at 250 over night. It will be ready when you wake up. Always good.

I've eat dozens cooked 100% in the oven and most are better than the "BBQ gurus " dried out over smoked disasters of meat dishes. You ain't got to call it BBQ. I call it food!!!

Season however you want and cook @250 till done. Get as wild as you want

This.....aluminum pan, cover in Claudes marinade, seal up with foil, cook on 220 all day. Really good.

Go with Mexican style seasoning. Like onions, cilantro, cumin, etc. it's delicious. Different than off a smoker but it tastes better in a tortilla with salsa and beans.
