Nice, I may have to give this a try. Bet it's good over rice or taters.

I like to top it with Scrambled Eggs after the Late Great CMSgt Rowdy Yates. I served with Rowdy during my SAC Dayz. He always added the eggs.
        This is Happening Right Now......

I've been having that since before I was in the Air Force. My dad had it in the Navy so apparently it floats as well.

I like to use breakfast sausage in mine.

I have used Ground Venison, Venison Breakfast Sausage and Smoked Venison Sausage as well.

My dad fixed this quite often when we were growing up. (SOS) sh#t on a shingle. (Toast)

My go to breakfast when I was in the Army. SOS with two over easy eggs on top. Still make it a couple of times a year.

Mom used to make a similar dish using the dried thinly sliced beef instead of ground beef. She called it "chipped beef 'n gravy" but still good on her home-made from scratch biscuits!

My grandmother made that out of Hormel dried beef from a glass jar and blue cap (that is the only way I remember it). I am assuming that the thin slices were cured to keep from spoiling. She has been gone about 26 years and I swear I can still taste it.

                          Great stuff.

My mother back in Pa,used to make it with the dried beef. Put it over toast and that was supper. When I was in the Air Force it seemed everyone would make fum of SOS but they always loaded up on it.

Yep--exact same stuff Mom used. I've also had it made with Armour brand.
