Christmas gift ideas?

Last year I decided that I would make gifts for the men in my family instead of buying something they may or may not do anything with. I made jalapeño summer sausage, regular summer sausage, snack sticks, homemade hot sauce and pickled carrots and jalapeños.

It seemed to be appreciated and I'd rather make stuff than go shopping so I think I'm going to stick with the idea again this year and I'm looking for ideas. I'm likely going to make the summer sausage and snack sticks, but I'm not sure what else to do. I'm thinking I may do a dozen tamales for each as well.

So, if someone were going to make gifts like that for you, what do you think you would want or appreciate?

Tamales is a great one! All of the things you had made sound good. I make chocolate turtles as gifts for my husbands clients and our friends.

That's an idea, didn't think about candies, I've never made them.
