Dove recipes that don't involve bacon and a grill?

Like everybody else, my go-to way to cook doves is on the grill wrapped in bacon. However I want to mix-in some other preparation methods this year. Maybe sautéed in butter and served over pasta with some kind of sauce? Maybe some type of casserole? Post up some ways you like to cook dove breasts other than the tried-and-true grilled w/bacon routine. I know some people pluck then bake them whole but I am not sure I want to go to that much trouble....

We chop up the breast and lightly saute it with onion etc and then mix it into cornbread and bake it. Serve with gravy. Mmmmmmm,,,,,,,,,,,,

Filet off breast, season with blaze and sauté in butter. Then course chop and add to a big pot of homemade chili.

I've not tried it, but I think dove carne guisada might be pretty good.

Last year, I found a recipe for dove that included marinating them overnight in a combination of red wine and garlic italian dressing. I did the jalepeno and bacon wrap, then marinated the whole lot in a dish and grilled them the next day.

BY FAR, the best dove I've ever had. Man were those good.

Smothered in brown gravy & onions is good.

If only there was a way to make a dove taste like quail.

I've marinate in teriyaki and sneered with vegetable as kabobs. Requires the grill or I guess you could do in the oven. They were good.
