      Retried beans

Heat up pinto beans with a little bit liquid in the pan on medium heat but not too much to make them runny and mash them with potato masher. While continuing to heat, Add one tablespoon of bacon grease or oil, blend, heat, eat.

when my grandmother made refried beans it was from regular pinto beans she had on the stove, she would take a skillet put a bit of lard in it,then take some scoops of beans and mash them with a tater masher then simmer them on low heat til you get them as refried as you like, the drier the more flavor, this was back in the 60's and 70's from what I recall hope this helps

Olive oil...much healthier than bacon fat.

Add a little mole sauce for a different flavor
