    My Wild Kitchen - New Post - Red Beans and Smoked Sausage

    These were by far the best red beans we've made, ever, period. I STRONGLY recommend them!

      you and Mama's care package was mailed Tues and should arrive any day

      helpful hint: soak red beans night before cooking , add 1 T of seafood boil mix to water for added spice

      I definitely mash the beans

      If you're not using smoked sausage, 1 T of liquid smoke added to the beans will enhance the flavor

                      I again made some CB red beans (with tasso and andouille sausage) and rice two weeks ago at work (by popular demand) and like always, a big hit.
