    Old Venison Recipe question

    I have some older Venison & Black Buck meat in the freezer. No freezer burn but it's been a while since I have cooked any of them. Various cuts but my main question is:
    "What do you all do to marinate yours to take as much game taste away?"

    I've never noticed a game taste, but maybe that's because it's all we eat. Some people soak it in milk or vinegar.

      How long is "a while"? Is it vacuum packed?

        Nothing for deer. BB, that's a different story. BB doesn't taste as good as deer to me.

          They are vac packed. The Black Buck has been in freezer for about a year and the venison, some of it 2 years. My son gave them to me, I know..old school, all of my venison previous was NOT vac packed thus the post request. Thanks to you who did respond, appreciated!!
