Decided to cook a little elk jerky today, never had elk before and everyone tells me how good it is, so it is time to see for myself.
Cut some front shoulder into thin pieces and just could not wait to try it so I threw some on the grill with no additives. GOOOOOOD STUFF!
I marinated the rest in LEM mesquite and have been cooking it most of the afternoon. I did sneak a bit of one of the done pieces, it was so good i pulled out another package to do it all again in the morning cause I know this will be gone tonight.
