    Venison Salisbury Steak

Anyone tried salisbury out of your steaks/ hamsteaks?

Pan fry bread crumbed hamsteaks until brown in veg oil.
Disolve beef bullion cubes (2) in boiling water
Add buillon base, mushrooms and onions to the pan with browned steaks
Cover, simmer for 15-20 (until tender)
Add corn starch until buillon water base becomes a gravey consistency to your liking (I removed the steaks during so the pan wasn't so crowded)
Serve with side of mashed potatoes and bisquits

Wow, I always try to find new things to do with my venison, outside of your typical backstrap stuff this is the best venison I have ever had, still has some of the gamey taste preserved for those who like it.

I have not tried Salisbury steak but have done smothered steak several ways in the crock pot and it's awesome. I cheated yesterday and thawed my steak threw it in the crock pot with the store bought packs of brown gravy and was surprised at how good it was.

I have done it and do it regularly with tenderized steaks from my deer.
