Originally posted by GARY View PostWild berries, looking similar to blackberries, but a little "tarter" taste. Grow along railroad tracks, and in fields. I just picked up a new piece of land to hunt with the boys, I made sure the landowner was okay with me picking dewberries and mustang grapes (for homemade wine)!
Has anyone made jam with dewberries? Love them.

I’ve already picked a few dewberries here in east TX, but I have a bunch left over in the freezer from past years. I raise Prime Ark Freedom thornless blackberries too and put up 24 gallons last year, but the frost a few weeks ago is going to greatly affect this year’s production. It didn’t seem to affect the wild berries though.
