Go to HEB and buy one of their fully cooked briskets and follow the directions on the package for reheating. I wish I had better advice but that's the best I have if you want a smoked brisket out of the oven. There brisket isn't bad either, it's better than half the bbq places I have tried.

            Good luck.

225 oven 1 hr/#. Add liquid smoke to the rub to have a smokey flavor. Just did this Thursday and it was good.

I have did this a few times. put it on a rack of some kind. in a large dish. spice it as you would any outdoor cut. 200 deg. for about 8- 10 hours. and don't open the door. it works.

We just did this today. Season to taste, put in oven at 300 with a couple cups of water in a covered roasting pan. It wasn't bothered for 3 hours. Put on some sweet BBQ sauce and left uncovered until done. Came out great!

When I do it in the oven, it is usually to pull apart and and chop up for corn tortillas, but would also work well with bread and BBQ sauce.

                      I:
-trim the fat off a little
-coat it in salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder, fresh lime juice
-then wrap it in foil and cook in a covered pan at 250* for 10 - 12 hours? (I'm never scientific)
-afterwards, I pull it apart in strands and cut across grain into small pieces and put them in a pan, then ladle some of the fat and juices over them to keep moist and flavorful

                      That's just me.
