        The canned biscuits work good.. Be sure to use flour when you roll them out or you'll have a sticky mess all over your rolling pin

          I've had dumplings made like this, and found the density of the dumpling just wasn't right. They aren't bad, I just prefer a denser dumpling.

            Because of limited counter space, I don't roll out and cut into strips. I just roll into a 1"ball then smash flat to ant 1/4" thick. Like a "dumpling disc"

                      I use Flour tortilla mix, follow the direction as making flour tortillas plus add a table spoon of baking powder, then roll out and cut into strips as noted above. Sometimes serve with whole corn, just go together, Otherwise basically the same recipe! Good Job NS!! My favorite winter dish next to chili, gumbo, etoufe',.........
