    Caramel Pecan Brownies

Another request form the Montgomery TBH get together.

    You will need:

    4 squares Baker's unsweetened chocolate
    3/4 cup butter or margarine
    2 cups sugar
    4 eggs
    1 cup flour
1 pkg. (14 oz.) Kraft caramels (unwrap and set aside before you begin)
    1/3 cup whipping cream
    2 cups pecan halves, divided

    To make it:

Line a 9x13 pan with foil with the ends extending over the sides. Grease the foil. Microwave the chocolate and the butter in a large microwaveable bowl on HIGH for 2 min. or until butter is melted. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted. Add sugar and eggs; mix well. Stir in flour until well blended. Spread half of the mixture into prepared pan.

Bake 25 min. or until the top is firm to the touch. Meanwhile, microwave caramels and cream in a medium microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min. or until caramels begin to melt; stir until the caramels are melted completely. Stir in 1 cup of the pecans.

Spread caramel mixture over brownie layer in pan; cover with remaining brownie batter using the back of a spoon. (some caramel mixture will show through.) Top with remaining pecans Bake 25-30 min. or until the top is firm to the touch. Cool in pan on a wire rack. Lift the brownies from the pan with then foil handles before cutting into squares.

These are very good and gooey!! Delicious...Enjoy!
