    Creamy Jalapeño Ranch Dip

This recipe is good but forewarned, got this off of a good friend. We made it yesterday but it was in huge volume. I'd suggest half the buttermilk, mayo, for smaller amount of serving size or you could can it and refrigerate it like we did.

    Enjoy!

    Jalapeno Creamy Ranch

    Ingredients:
    1 bunch cilantro chopped
    ½ - 1 cups sour cream
4 packets Hidden Valley powder ranch
1-2 small cans La Costena Green Mexican Salsa/Salsa Verde/tomatillo sauce
    1-2 cups jalapenos chopped w/seeds
    1-2 cups buttermilk
1 tablespoon onions (finely chopped) to taste
1 tablespoon garlic (finely chopped) to taste
    1 quart Hellman’s Mayo

    OPTIONAL:
1 teaspoon or more of chile pequin (finely grinded-powered)
    * chile pequin is extremely hot. A little goes a long way

In blender…First blend garlic, onions, jalapenos, cilantro, green salsa, buttermilk, & sour cream. Add mayo last and blend with other ingredients. Pour into large bowl, then whisk in ranch powder.

Yup. That's exactly what I told my wife when I read the recipe but I don't plan on making it but once a year thing! Lol you can always use fat free, though. I did.

Made some this weekend, wasn't sure how many jalapeños would end up making the right amount of chopped so I guessed and went with 10. I fire roasted them along with a small yellow onion I cut in half. I also added some green onion. I mixed mine in a food processor because I like the end product better than a blender. We had a big gathering do I used most the amounts listed using fat free or low fat. Everybody liked it and goes great on other foods.

Awesome! Yes. It goes great on many things. Glad y'all enjoyed it!

I used about 8 so it's about right but I like your idea about fire roasted jalapeño!

No. You can not use it for Cowgirls' game day! Only for Houston Texans!

I am going to try to make this for a birthday party this weekend. I need to make a smaller batch though. I hope my measurements turn out right

Just make half batch of each. You should be fine. Refrigerate em to thicken it up. Let it sit cold for 24 hours. good luck!
