I'm not a big fish eater but this was pretty good. I was told from some that it's very strong and others that it was the best. It was less fishy than catfish but not as mild as Mahi. If that helps...Great texture though. Not all flakey. Almost like chicken breast in texture.

Bonnet-headed shark that look like a little hammerhead shark is the absolute best eating fish on the planet. Has no fishy taste at all and is even good cold. The best place to catch them is offshore around oil rigs on the bottom using squid.

              From my youth.

My Father only fished sharks. Spent hundreds of hours on the end of a pier with 6 lines out.

              Good eats.................

I've only eaten Black-tip and it's really awesome, very white meat. It's kinds of firm, not real fishy tasting, nothing like Mackrel is.

Living on the east coast growing up I caught a few sharks while waiting for the tide to come in/ go out for shrimping. We kept a few.. Took em home.. Skinned em like we do catfish and tried to batter and fry like catfish. Nastiest thing I've ever tasted. Tasted like p*$$. After researching we found out shark is NOTHING like normal fish.. Gotta soak it in milk because they urinate thru their skin. Never tried it again.

                        Yours looks good though.

The difference between good/bad shark is how they are handled after you catch them. You have to gut them as soon as you catch them to avoid that problem. Gonna grill up some fresh bonnethead in a few days. Good stuff.
