    crawfish n grits

    my cajun version of the Deep South favorite ... shrimp n grits


    prepare grits on stove top

    add butter and half n half to make creamy

    add smoked gouda cheese

    add some roasted garlic

    top with green onions, RB seasoning, and crawfish tails

    so simple a caveman could make this dish .... C'est si bon ( it's so good)

    Never thought about smoked gouda in grits. That sounds awesome.

        Blake- I know you have a favorite brand of grits, wanna share? I will have to order whatever it is, all we have up here is junk. That bowl of grits looks incredible!!

          Grits are pretty much a Southern food with favorite brands based on geography.

          I use Quaker cooking grits , whereas ppl in KY prefer Weisenberger grits and ppl in NC prefer Anson Mills

          They're all pretty good just depends how you prepare them

          Butter and heavy whipping cream are the key to creamy grits
