Lamb (Venison) Chickpea Tagine
We got Cooking Light for a few years and have them in the kitchen. Every once in a while we pick them back up and try some recipes. I've had good luck substituting venison for lamb on various recipes. This one turned out AWESOME!
I used a pound of cubed ham steak from last year's doe, and cooked it all up in my dutch oven. Since you cook it down without the lid, make sure to keep an eye on it, especially after the halfway mark to keep from burning it. We bought the large Israeli-style couscous to pair with it.
