    Easy Borracho Beans

    Some good beans here

To make it fast and easy I use canned pinto's

    1 big can of Pinto's
    1 big white onion
    2-4 fresh jalapeno's
1 16oz can of diced tomatoes
    4 tablespoons of ground cumin
    3 tablespoons of Garlic Salt
    2 tablespoons of black pepper
    1 bunch of cilantro
1 pound of bacon (the cheap stuff works best)
3 beers (i use shinerbock but have also used tecate)

Cut up the bacon and throw it into a large pot w/ a lid available, cook bacon half way and throw in chopped onion to brown. dice up the jalapeno's and add them in just after the onion goes in. Once the onion is nice and cooked add the beers. strain the can of tomatoes and put in the pot. dump in the ground cumin, garlic salt and pepper. Rinse the beans and in the pot they go. The beans should be covered by the beer if not add a little more beer. bring to a boil then back down to a simmer for about 2-3 hrs covered. 30 minutes prior to turning em off chop the cilantro and add to the beans. Cool em down and enjoy.

I do these almost the same way, except I use water and drink the beer. My favorite.
