    Frozen duck breast?

How long is frozen duck/goose breasts good for in the freezer? They are vacuum seal too.

Forever? Sounds silly but assuming good seal i'd eat a 10yr old duck breast... Thaw it out and give it the ol "sniff test." Trust your nose.

      This ^^.

And one more thing, if it has some freezer burn, this doesn’t mean it’s bad. Just cut it away and enjoy the rest of the meat…as long as it passes the aforementioned smell test.

Lot of factors. These newer frost free will burn them pretty fast. You can cut that away…. But I can still tell the difference. Older frost freezers will keep them years

i cooked a bag last night from around Christmas. Which is t terribly long and they were amazing

Had no idea of the difference in frost free versus traditional freezers. Thanks for the info.

Growing up in the hay fields dad had the big orange water coolers. He would freeze 2L coke bottles for ice and reuse them. We got a frostless and it would suck the water out of the bottles!!! They are convenient… and that’s what our society demands… but they SUCK for keeping food long term

Dogs will eat it no matter what!

I've found some buried that were at least two years old, possibly three, and they were perfectly fine. As stated trim any freezer burn, dogs freezer burned meat. Great meat for a gumbo just in case it's bland.
