    Cream of the crop

    I grew up thinking that evaporated milk was cream.Mama always asked if I wanted Cream in my coffee and thats what cooled it where I could handle the hot stuff. That was several years ago(50+) and I poured some in my cup this morning. So what is cream that you use to cook with in all theses wonderful recipes.

    its like milk, but thicker. look for it in the dairy section

      Half and Half Cream for coffee but if a recipe calls for heavy cream I use Whipping Cream in the carton.

        That's cool, used some whipping cream in a corn casserole I made Christmas dinner, but I also pour it in my homemade ice cream recipe. Seems odd ,one
        bakes and one freezes. Thanks
