Mix a slice of whte bread (trim off crust) with about a table spoon of milk to make a paste, mix with a pound of meat, season to taste, make a dimple in middle of pattie about the size of a quarter, flip once (not mashing with spatula), grill to clear juices appear.

Mix 1:1 with the breakfast sausage or your choice.....add an egg and bread crumbs or crumbled up ritz or saltine crackers (like a meatloaf). You can use any flavor of crumbs you want, I like Italian crumbs. Season with salt/pepper, garlic pepper etc, then grill 'em up. Every time I mention a party to our friends, they beg for these burgers.

I made this without the cheese. It was surprisingly good. And, made some of Pioneer Woman's whisky cream sauce to go with it. I'm addicted to that stuff. I don't dice my onions as fine as what the recipe calls for. But, I've included a link below, it's really great with steaks, but I make it with "chopped steaks" too.

              The Official Abs Diet Burger
              1 egg
              1 pound lean ground beef
              1/2 cup oats
              1/3 cup diced onion
              1/2 cup chopped spinach
              2 tablespoons reduced-fat shredded Mexican-blend cheese
              Salt and pepper

In a large bowl, whisk egg. Add everything else, mixing it--your hands are the best tool--until well blended. Form into four patties. Place burgers in a grill pan or nonstick skillet that's heated over medium-high. Cook 6 minutes per side or to desired level of doneness.

Serves 4 (Wrap any extra burgers in plastic and freeze them for later.)

Use this hamburger patties recipe for burgers or meatballs.

                  1 lb fresh ground beef
1/4 teaspoon salt (prefer sea salt)
1/2 teaspoon black pepper (prefer fresh ground)
1/2 teaspoon minced fresh garlic or garlic powder
                  1/2 teaspoon ginger
                  1/4 teaspoon sesame oil
                  1 tablespoon brown sugar
                  3 tablespoon crushed pineapple chunks
                  3 tablespoon soy sauce
                  2 tablespoons ground flaxseed (optional)

Add all ingredients to a glass bowl. Gently mix until spices are evenly distributed. Ground hamburger mixture should be very loose. Do not pack together firmly, but gently form hamburger mix into patties and cook.

greek seasoning to taste, finely diced jalapeno, and crumbled blue cheese.

                          simple and delicious

simply use fajita seasoning instead of salt and pepper.
