    Crystal Creek report

For all of you asking about Crystal Creek, it is a great place and Scooter provides you with a quality experience. Heck our guide ended up being someone there for the Noc it Up Challenge they talked into staying. Sam worked his rear end off to make sure we all were happy and saw what we were after. I can't say enough about the guides, both Sam and Scooter. I will post my report in the hunting reports section later but my buddy and I both had multiple oportunities on exotics including 2 out of the 3 target species we were after (blackbuck, aoudad, and axis). We both scored on aoudad. I really didn't want a ram but I saw some outstanding animals and they were very wily. Since I shot my exotic on the first day, I rode around with the guide the rest of the weekend looking for pigs. The pigs have defintately been hunted but I saw a bunch. I was hunting them with my longbow so I never quite closed the deal. All in all, it was a great experience. If you go, listen to the guides! There were some other hunters in camp that didn't and ended up with lack of shot opportunities and a lost ram. Anyway, if you have any particular questions let me know. Good luck if you go.

I saw a crapload of turkeys and the axis that were in velvet should shed by then. We hunted the pasture behind the lodge/lake, on the same side of the road. That pasture has the creek running through it and ought to provide the most opportunities for corn buzzards. I must have seen a hundred or more hens. The only two toms I saw were BIG and they were starting to act "strutty". Good luck, you should have a large time.
