Does anyone know if the Black Creek Ranch in Webb county still runs day hunts? I haven't been there in years, but it used to be one of my favorite places to hunt. Free range whitetail on large acreage (13,000+). It was operated by a guy named John Walker and they used to advertise in Texas Trophy Hunter Magazine. It's about 25 miles North of Freer.

No John does not run any more day hunts. I used to help him out there, sure wish he still did though. Rifle hunters have leased the place, this year they shot a 190" buck that field dressed 196#. John shot a 160"+ with his bow. Still a great place. -
Awesome. John was always more than willing to help you out, as far as getting set up in a good spot and helping out in any way he could. Glad to see he's still having success.Comment
