I went to Dean's new place last week to try to kill a deer with my new Shiloh Sharps rifle.
His ranch is setup for bow hunting but he has a few rifle stands and really nice deer herd on the low fence side.
His cabin is brand new and could not be better.
Everything a fellow could want for a great weekend of hunting was in place.

I'm not what you would call picky and don't care at all how big one might be next year

Walking out the door and heading up here for the weekend. Will give a report when I get back. Looks like it is going to be a solo trip this time, so not sure how much killing will take place since Hunter and Dena are not going to be there. They are the ones that normally kill things while I do more watching.

Made the hunt a couple weeks ago, what a nice place, covered up with animals. Lots of turkey and hogs. If you are looking for a spring turkey hunt, this is the place to go. Never was a dull sit. Saw lots of different animals and killed a great blackbuck antelope.
