    We need your thoughts!

I am rrelatively new to the "day hunt" thing. Some buddies and I did it once before and had a GREAT time so we're looking to do it again. Does anyone know anything about First Point Bowhunting near Eagle Pass for deer? What are our chances or should we keep looking???

Sorry, I did not read this post before the other one. It s a great place with some really hard hunting. Your odds are not bad on shooting a deer but they are greater on taking a big deer. They definitely are smart. Just use you head and be patient and it should all work out.

Hard hunting I can handle as long as there is a reasonable chance of connecting. How are the folks that run the place? I don't want someone
over my shoulder the entire time but some helpful pointers are appreciated
on a place I've never seen. I noticed on their website they didn't have
pics of the lodging. What's that like? It all sounds really good but I wanted
to hear it from someone who's been there.

I think there is a penalty for shooting too small a deer of $1000.00(at least that is what I heard) If that's the case, better know how to judge 'em.

The penalty is $500 for a deer under 3 1/2. The odds are very resonable for connecting on a mature deer. The people that run the place are very good people. Just listen to what they say and do it and your odds will increase. The lodging is not five star but it is not bad. The camp consist of two mobile homes placed together at a 90 degree angle with a porch built on the inside. They are furnished will everything but bedding and a TV. Honestly if you have time to what TV then you have taken a deer or don't care about doing so. Any other questions you have I will try to answer as best I can.
