i went last april of 07 hunting for axis or blackbucks, the blackbucks stayed in the no hunting area and the axis were horribly skittish, only saw a small one on stand, i would go when they are more likely in hard horn as you cant shoot one in velvet and take a ground blind, if you can spot a group you might get ahead of em. i am hoping to close the deal on a axis in 2 weeks at keith johns place!!
