Anybody been to Chambers lately? Latest post on here are nearly a year old. Heard it had gone down hill but looking to book a group hunt for 8-10 somewhere. Thanks in advance for any input.

I too am looking at heading out to Chambers in March. I have not made a reservation yet but we were thinking about going for some Axis or Fallow Does. Has anyone been this year? What all did you see and how educated were the animals. One member in our group has not yet been bowhunting yet...

I'm going Des 15 week end. I can give you a report. This is my groups 3rd year to hunt out there. We killed some and struck out some. There are plenty animals, sometimes luck just dont go your way. Its a good hunt and great folks.

Was there in Oct. Saw alot of good whitetail bucks this time, just didnt get a shot. He has a lot of good axis too. I shot 2 hogs and another guy shot a 35" axis. Mr. C is class act.

i was there in april and went back in november,, lots of animals, lots of axis,, there were 10 people in my group everyone got at least two shots, but of course some of the hunters need to practice more!!!!
facilities are fair, nothing fancy but it has showers and toliets ac, and heat...i have been about 20 times now, never came home empty handed.
planning on going back in april and im already booked for november

Xman59 This is his Place in Sabinal rite? Other than Axis what other types of exotics minus Sheep, goats and hogs did you see, and also has the whitetail herd picked back up i have been a couple times and several years back the road would fill up with deer and went back a couple years later and there not as many i am talking back a couple years to when Sean was there.i really like the place but it is the Toughest place i have ever Bowhunted the game was very skittish. Are you hunting Axis in April?
