I checked into a place even smaller, was going to work a deal with the owner but his understanding of bowhunting was almost zero, and the deal I was planning to make, and the deal he was thinking of were not the same and we just couldn't come together. It was like 65 acres and PACKED with exotic deer. Browse line was about 6 feet high, the two things keeping those animals alive was that even with all the leaves gone, the trees were thick, and the fact that they were his pet deer, he just needed some of the herd thinned out. Wouldn't be much of a hunt, but if you're interested in a meat harvest, I say go for it.Comment

It's not really. I'm sure you will be stand hunting and there will be feeders. The feeders attract the animals. You aren't guaranteed a kill but chances are pretty good. Fact is for me if I drop $300+ (including tips and expenses) to go to one of these ranches the last thing I wanna do is sit for a few hours in the trees and watch birds and squirrels. I go there to shoot something tasty or I want on the wall. It ain't a wilderness experience but it sure is fun as all get out. Never been to that one but I've been to 3Fingers twice and headed back this weekend. If it wasn't fun, I wouldn't keep going back.Comment

Yeah let me know. I texted the number and got some pricing and pics of rams that he has. Claims he has the best trophy shooter rams around. From the pics, he does have some nice ones and wouldn't mind having one on my wall.Originally posted by TattooBlade View PostComment
