Lonesome Bull Ranch - Corps Christi

Anyone ever hunted with these guys? They offer some really great pricing on some HUGE deer as well as lot's and lot's of different exotics. I am scheduled to go mid October in hopes of a 180+ class and am bringing my daughter to shoot a Yak or Ibex. I would like to know if anyone knows anything about these guys.

Never heard of them. Are you sure they are out of Corpus, maybe near Corpus.

Never mind, I have heard of them. They are out near Lagarto on lake Corpus Christi. I have been wondering about that place my self. Let me know how that turns out. Been interested in the cow elk hunt.

They are actually in Portland. I spoke with the Ranch Manager (Fred). He seems very knowledgable. I'll let you know how it goes.

I checked them out and me and 2 other guys from work booked the cow elk meat hunt. The Manager seemed like a cool guy. Very organized from what I could tell. The wife said she wanted more elk, so momma will be happy...We are going in mid October. I will update after the trip as well.

Just had a good buddy go there for an elk. They told him they had a 380+ bull there and a few other good bulls and gave him a good price...he showed up and there was only one bull that would have done good to break 340". He ended up taking a freak of a cow oryx. From what he told me I'd be very leary about believing what they say they have versus what's actually there. just my 2 cents.

Care to elaborate on that? I mean, you can't throw that out there and not provide some further feedback.

They would sell people bred does that were supposedly bred by cowboy their breeder buck, but they were just wild deer that they darted.

Sounds pretty shady to me, have to watch out for operations like that.

Well, I tell you what, I will let you all know after the weekend of October 13th thru the 16th. Other than the negative comments I have heard here, (and I am not buying bred deer from them), I can't find one negative thing about them on our World Wide Web. After our Father / Daughter weekend, I'll sure let all of my fellow TBH brothers know!
