    Which Day Lease?

Trying to decide where to day lease this year and have narrowed it down to basically 4 places. Mesquite Bowhunting, Brushy Hill, First Points, and Bug Scuffle. Going with my dad and brother and needless to say none of are bowhunting pros. Heard good things on all these. Just want to know what yall would recommend or not recommend.

I've hunted Bugscuffle and Brushy Hill. More exotics at BS and nice camp setup. BH has good price for some decent white tail and hogs. My $.02...

Thanks for the input. BS isnt taking anymore axis hunts this season so if we go it'll be strictly whitetail and hogs. Heard Brushy Hill is tough to hunt in a short time. We'll have Friday - Sunday.

You can try bexar county bow hunts they have good prices and a real nice lodge. Lots of whitetail and hogs. You can call mesquite archery in San Antonio for info.

Go with Gerald at Mesquite Bowhunting. Great man and truly wants you to be successful. Listen to what he tells you and don't stray from where he wants you to sit. I have always had great success by doing exactly what he says to do. I do however know of others who do their own thing and come home empty handed.

Anyways, Mesquite Bowhunting gets my vote

I like mesquite bowhunting. But firstpoint gets my vote by far for whitetail. A true monster could walk out any second. That being said THEY ARE SMART!!!

As good if not better prices than anyone out there.

I have not hunted Mesquite, but I have hunted the other three and had a good time at all of them. To recommend a place you really have to know what is important to you. A chance at a monster or a good chance at a meat animal. Are you interested in exotics at all? What about pigs as some places have them and some don't. Are the accomodations important or just the hunting?

I agree with what was said above about First Point, saw some good deer...but they are not easy to get. I had chances to take at BS, and saw a good number of animals. I have normally hunted Brushy Hill in the spring, I did hunt it once in the fall and took a doe.

This is my suggestion as well. Geral is a top notch guy and the lodging is great. I took a nice Aoudad from there and saw some great other animals. I have not hunted at the other three you mentioned. Go with your gut; spending time with your family is the important part. All 4 are spoken of highly here, I'm sure you will have a great time at any of them.
