I want to take the wife and kids to catch a few reds and trout, they said they would like to go to Louisiana again. If anyone knows a good place, please let me know.

Lake Calcaseiu is only 1 hour from the Texas border and really good fishing. It shouldn't be affected by the oil spill. I'll be there at the end of the month.Comment

Went to Lake Calcaseiu this week. The trout fishing was fantastic. We caught 108 keeper trout on soft plastics in 2 days. On the second day we had our 60 trout limit by 9:15. Many were small but we had trout up to 24 inches. Fished with Big Lake Guide Service.Comment
