Nada today. Wind was fierce today, beat us to death. Supposed to be cold tomorrow and much less windy. Going to get some food and recoup. All day sits in this wind was a beating.

Dang it’s a beautiful morning! 26*, light north breeze, perfect morning to get one. Don’t believe anything has been taken yet, but several have passed up bucks that are marginal.

when do mule deer rut in that area?

Seen a doe and buck so far. Cale shot a big hog and has seen a bunch of deer. My dad saw a hog, 2 bobcats and a deer that he couldn’t id. World of difference from yesterday. They are just starting to rut. The first buck I saw on Monday was with a doe and wouldn’t leave her.

Met up to eat a sandwich and now back at it. Hunted this same valley every hunt, will try a new area if I don’t score this afternoon. Seen 3 good bucks, one possible shooter, but not the big one I’m after.

Today was so much better than the last two. The wind has kept everything bedded down.

Saw 21 deer this morning compared to 5 total last 2 days. I’ve passed 2 legal bucks so far.

Nada today from our group. I saw a WT doe and 8 pt. Also saw this guy and his 2 does from the truck.
