This is my first nilgai hunt ever.

Spooked 3 bulls two evenings ago, then I found very fresh sign about 3/4 from that location, which is where I am right now. However, they were about 50 yards from my setup this morning, and I scared them up walking in. Is it a lost cause, or should I stay put? Really conflicted on whether to move. Still hunting archery seems to be very low odds with nilgai!

If you are on a trail, stay put. Sounds like they are using it. Yes, I hear archery Nilgai on LANWR is about 1% success rate.

Barely. A lot of meat. I’m pretty certain that bull is alive. The shot was too high, above vitals. Have found zero blood in the last 1.5hrs.

That arrow passed through, broke 15”.

He passed a dinky 2.5yr old 8pt this morning. I texted him when I saw it and he replied, I’m not shooting it, I’d rather leave empty handed than shoot that little buck.
