I archery hunted Elephant Mountain in 2019. I stalked within 200-300 yards of a couple of different mature bucks. Just couldn't close the gap with the terrain. I managed to connect with a spike and a javelina late in the trip. I'd be more than willing to share a bunch of info with you. I'll be in the transpecos area the same time as you. 20 preference points got me a gun mule deer permit for Black Gap this year. Like you, I'm scouring the internet for every tidbit of information I can find. I've probably logged 4 or 5 hours on google earth already.Comment
