Here in Burleson, creeks are flooded, tired of the rain.

The Brazos back-washes up that lil river whenever Grandbury dose this causing the water level to rise. And sometimes causing the gauge/satellite to give a false reading as to what is coming down the Nolan. So got to take into account for the water releases in the Brazos.

Right now, Granbury has bumped, well, doubled it's release rate to over 36,000 cfs. The W lake is come up pretty good in the last 24 hours. It's .45 below normal at the moment. I certainly wasn't expecting Grandbury to bump it's release rate up to this. So the W lake could wind up a foot or three above normal this weekend.

A lake it the place ya ought ta be. So pack up your bags/boat and move to Beverly. Place that is, it's under water now. Catfish,... crappie,... who need movie stars?

A lake is .10 feet above normal.

Granbury was coffee city with every sort of log not tied down floating in the lake. Lots of current. Water was about a foot and a half above flood stage and has crested at Dennis. Should recede by morning...until it rains again.

Was thinking of camping toward the end of next week, not now.

The fish are bite-n and there's hogs to be killed, gotta go!

Grandbury cut it's release back at the moment to just above 30k cfs. The W lake has come up 2.44 feet in the last 24 hours to the moment. And is 2.05 feet above normal.

Guessing it's gonna come up some more?

A lake is 1.54 feet above normal. And has come up 1.44 feet in the last 24 hours to the moment.

I did just check Lake Pat Cleburne. And it is flowing a little over the primary spill way. As it is about 1.52 feet above normal. It's dropped about 1-1/4 feet over the last two days. So yes Razor, the Nolan should have a little water flowing in it to contribute to the river flooding the Brazos is creating.

Granbury is still moving and full. Doesn't look like they'll close the gates anytime soon

Any creek access around Whitney where the kiddos can snag a few crappie ?

That's good news. Hopefully it will drop tomorrow.

Look for when PK closes it's gates. Grandbury will follow shortly. Right now, PK is releasing 15,900 cfs. And Grandbury is releasing over 18,000 cfs. They pretty much try to hold both lakes with in one foot of capacity. Right now, PK is .96 foot low. The 24 hour influx into PK is +.06. So, it is gaining water despite the release. They will prob reduce the release before long, if they don't get any more run-off.

Right now, Grandbury is .65 feet low. With an influx of +.09 feet despite releasing 18,300 cfs. So, it is gaining a little water.

W lake is 4.33 feet above normal at the moment. With a water rise of 1.25 in the last 24 hours. W lake is also releasing water at a rate of 7,374 cfs. Sandies, stripers, and big cats should be good in the river below the dam.

A lake is 3.34 feet above normal. And has come up 1.11 feet in the last 24 hours. It is releasing 26 cfs, not much. But that can change. Sandies and crappie can be caught on the walkway below that dam in the eddies when the water is being released just a bit. Use a float and let your bait drift around in the eddies.

I have heard that some lakes are going to start shutting down boat ramp access like COE parks and Lcra ramps. Is there ramps at Whitney that aren’t governed by someone that would shut down?

There are a handful of private ramps. But no telling what they will do.

If the Corp engineer ramps close like cedar creek is there a good option to go to?

This genius decided to make his own ramp today and the game warden got him.

Caught a few. It was a beautiful day!
