I dont know boys but I think the heli hunters were reconning the comanche bluff area today after lunch...small two seater canary yellow helicopter dive bombed me on the river today and saw me and both guys waived so I waived back...looks to me as if they were getting an idea of how much ammo they will need on monday....I just hate they kill and leave to waste....I would love a couple...I may go hang out by 6 and 7 on monday...see if I can see them and hear shots..but im just guessing....idk why anyone else would be flying that low...in duck shotgun range..

I've never hunt there but I was working in Taylor so drove to lake went all way around it look great. I wanted to s ask if it's legal to hunt at night for hogs? And can you bait.

let us know if they do a shoot on Monday Chief. I wouldn't mind some free pork for sure but I am **** tired of cutting meat! Killed 12 at my buddies place in Leakey two weeks ago. Got it all cut up and ready to grind!

It is legal to hunt at night for hogs just not on government land.
Bait does not do much at Granger. Hogs have learned to come in after dark, when you are not supposed to be hunting.

TXaggie06 is correct, boots on the ground with find them. My experience is slow and into the wind with a pair of binos works, then get in front of them as they run by. The ones that don't run everywhere don't get to breed. They are all wearing Nikes. Hunting briar patches (excape cover) is also a good method. Both the piggies in the avatar were taken off briar patches at GRXH last year. One as it ran by me at 8 1/2 Yards and the second I chased into a briar patch and shot at 4 yards.

Thanks guys. I think we will put some boots on the ground at the beginning of March and see what kind of luck we have.
