Carnage and I went out Saturday, started at the steps went back to the spot carnage seen 4 different hogs no shots and i saw 1 with no shots, went to the house made some late lunch and went back out and went west of 7 and seen nothing, just a lot of sign and just like TXUSNAVYCHIEF said there is a lot of protien,I also saw a lot of the Burr oaks dropping so no need to bait as you will just waste your corn. Oh and by the way when we were done the GPS said we walked over 9.5 miles and that didn't include the evening hunt so we did well over 10 miles for the day and considering what I went thru this spring I think i am getting back to normal. No bad for an old man.

One of my co-workers just told me that his brother fell out of his tree stand yesterday. One of his screw-in tree steps stabbed him in the taint and ripped all the way through his sack. Then he had to walk out of the woods. Wear your harness.

Dang. That blows! I forgot my harness in truck last Sunday on the evening hunt.

I kept thinking, it is not a worth the risk over a deer so I stayed on the ground and found myself a natural brush blind.

Back to the subject. Temps are dropping! Can't wait to get back out there. Hope to hunt with one of you guys. Some of yall have my 10 digits. Give me a holler if you need partner to go with you. Thanks!

Was out the other day in the morning. Was trying to climb into my tree stand but those dang caterpillars had covered it up in webs. While trying to clean it off pigs came right into my set up. Of course I'm half way up a tree with my bow on the ground though. I was able to sneak down with out getting busted. They were a little spooked though and took off as I drew back.

That's when I realized my game cam had been stolen

. Decided to walk around. Chased some on the peninsula but never got a shot off. I'm back in my stand now. See if they come in tonight.

Haha. I don't think so. I talked to two guys who were in that area when I was setting up my stand. Said they were doing a survival weekend. Noticed they were wearing ACU pants so I asked them what unit they were with. He told me the battalion but not the company. I know a few guys over there and I'm circulating pics of the mess they left. May never found out, but hopefully they slip up. We shall see.
