Looks like 8 was a hot unit for nilgai!

Is that just where they were or is that a factor of the number of guys that hunted that area?

We saw nilgai in 3. Busted me on the stalk. 8 had a lot of people pushing the game.
Saw 3 really nice deer. Tried to get my fiancé to shot them but by the time she got to me they took off. Lots of deer in 5 on the way to 3. There a small 6pt that needs to smarten up a bit. Was within 30 yards of us 3 different times. He wouldn’t leave. One time he was 20’ from my fiancé.

Talked to him this evening at check station, good for him.
He was one of the few trucks I saw in the same spot/ in the woods the whole time! Glad it worked out for him.

What a great weekend that was. After 30miles it came down to the last 15 minutes of light. 1/2 mile from the truck, three bulls crossing a clearing.
Shot the lead bull, he jumped up and kicked, ran into the brush. Searched and searched. Couldn’t find him. Heartbroken. 300 mag 200 grain bullet. These animals are no joke.

Man that makes me sick .

Lil sis got this one, 150 grain SST through the lungs ... he ran 20 yards a flopped over dead... .308 barked... stung a little too!

I'm headed down for the 1/18 hunt. If anyone has a bike and/or game cart they used that they don't really have a need for anymore and want to work something out let me know. I am in Houston area.

Yes. didn't have an issue unless I was way back on the refuge.
